yes a few ppl missed the forum meet, or didn't know where it was, or were just too plainly shy to stop by an introduce themselves.. it is ok... we only byte once or twice, and the pain isn't felt for long... especially because most have been drunk well before the meet... ;)

The title of that thread pretty much sums it up. I never knew geeks were such drinkers :) I, too, was too drunk for most of the night to remember much, and too tired/hung over the next day to attend many seminars... but it was nice just soaking up the atmosphere... or was that beer...

I never in my life have seen a combo package store/quikeemart/pizzaplace/baskinrobbins/subway.

I met both of the BW is cool as hell he fixed my laptop for me when the hard drive fell out. and i met DT when i was walking in the hall way and didnt even know it was him. that was the scary part. but nulltone pointed him out to me and i was like yea i just talked to him. and that store with all that stuff in 1 store that was cool i went there like 4 times a night.:p

According to the guy who worked in the liquor only place next door to the 4 in 1 place (the 5pm -1am shift, implied he was the owner), if he did 10 grand in one night, he was sending a call girl over to DT and the goons. Never got an opportunity to check back with him to see if he hit the goal.

anyways, true story (atleast the guy sharing the deal. who knows if it was a real thing.)

I got the chance to meet BW, but i didnt get to met DT that kinda sucked. Some of you may have seen me......I was the 17 yo that was wearing a KMFDM shirt. That little mart thingy was bad ass.....it was right on the way to amerisuites. I had a hell of a time at my first con and I look forward to next year.

I know I met, bw, freckles, l0nd0, xstasy, nulltone?, astcell, wetwerx<insert 3s in appropriately>..
I don't remember, oh and that one chick, jane? that I kept on not hearing her alias in here 'cause it was too loud and I felt bad her repeating it over and over and so I just pretended like i heard it.. sorry ) :

i wish I had filmed more, taken more pictures, more video..
it was just too annoying to keep whipping it out, but now that I am back and have watched the footage, I wish that there was more..
now I will know for next year..

all right... here goes.

) that corner store is the best, really.. i can't remember how many times I split for there. had there not been that handy overpriced food bar right at AP, I would have spent half my con at that store.

) Well.. bw is definately a cool person to meet, and not difficult to spot out of the crowd. I did not meey DT, although I did see him all over the friggin place, as well as in an interview he was doing regarding software security. I was impressed just overhearing the interview. I think if people from the forum want to meet next year, doing so at an earlier (pre-drinking) time would be more effective.

) blackwave.. I think people are still generally curious where apex may be. there were theories, none confirmed or disproven. Apex... you out there?

) bikinigurl, I don't think I met you... among many others. It is difficult to capture, as I also left my camera in the room most of the time. whipping it out eh? hmmm

Agree with those statements. One thing about the quikeemart that bothered me is they ran out of diet code reds for two days...grrrr

On the other hand, I never saw so many people dressed in black eating subways...

Being in the Vegas heat really changes my feeding habits, especially since I am mostly drinking ... so i hadn't eaten for a day and a half... though after the second night I had to eat, and hit subway for a sandwich and chips... it was a nice change... the lady behind the counter didn't believe my hair was real, she thought I was crazy for wearing a wig in the heat.

It was great meeting and hanging out with those from the forums and IRC, some great ideas were generated from those hangouts, even in our drunken stupor.. :) Can't wait for next year :)
