    Non-Goon Event help?

Are there any positions for non-goon event help. I would like to attend most of the talks but am more than willing to spend any time not in talks helping in any way that is needed. I.e. cleaning, after hours croud control, after con cleaning...
If so toss me a line if any side help is needed even if it is just so the goons can take a five minute break.

    non-goon help

You should check out the thread that DT posted about getting help from the community. I think that's sort of what you're looking for. If you have any questions, be sure to ask Chris. (smirk)

Yes, why not volunteer me for even MORE work, I am not busy or anything.

        DefCon help

Would that be the DefCon projects thread? I can't find any other threads, but I did find the DC9 decompression message.

I'm seriously looking to volunteer for most or all of the show. The show has changed over the years and so have I. I spent most of 9 helping out Jack and talking with speakers. I've found that a lot more of the fun for me is in the community and the people.

For the first time I am staying at Alexis Park, and I am paying my own way (until I can con another company into picking up the tab). Since it's my time and my money, I'd rather spend it helping out DefCon and doing what ever I can to make it a better event.

        Let me know,

        Chris

          Speaker Help

If you're into the speaker thing, I'd talk to Agent X and see if he needs any help. He get pretty overwhelmed and could use a little backup once in a while, but I just don't know if he's actually picked someone or decided to go without.

          Just an idea.

Yeah, AX is far too overworked. Good kid tho.

You can contact him through this board, he is registered. Click on members, find his name, click on that, choose send Agent X private message or someting like that and then let him know that you want to help. He will get back to you if he needs anything.

                  send message

tried that... got the message that "This user has disabled messaging..." grrr

Oh wait... this is DefCon, I'm supposed to hack the message board, uncover his real e-mail (for backup), enable messaging, message him, disable messaging, and carefully expunge any logs (or lack thereof) that would point to me or the board being hacked in general...

;) j/k :) I know better than to hack official defcon servers not designated for hacking...
